Pumpkin Patch
Halloween is fast approaching… One of my favorite times of the year. I love everything about the Fall, not the least of which i enjoy, is going to the pumpkin patch. I try to go every year, especially since i have had kids of my own to take. It is always fun when they have extra things to do other than just picking out a pumpkin.
Today we went with our playgroup to a local pumpkin patch. This particular one has jumpers, slides, train rides, hay rides, quad rides, pony rides, refreshments, and of course, pumpkins. Aside from the prices, it really does make for an enjoyable experience. And the price you just have to chalk up to being a once a year kinda thing.
Sweet Girl gets the most fun out of our family at these events, because of course, shes the one they are mostly for. Precious Baby, being just barely 2 months old, is too young to really care. She just needs me to be close (for meals)
and shes a happy camper.
Sweet Girl went on the quad ride and even though she was seat-belted in, I was sitting behind her trying to hold on to her tummy. She kept pushing my hands of saying “no mommy I can do it”. She even held her little hands on the handlebars, like a little pro. It was a little disappointment when we found out that there were no pony rides today. I guess they only do them on the weekends. But as it turns out, we left before using up all our tickets, so I think I will take her back this weekend to let her ride the pony. That was what she was looking forward to the most.
Well, we got our pumpkins; a big one for daddy a medium one for mommy small one for Sweet Girl and an extra teeny weeny one for Precious Baby. WE’ll probably carve Daddy’s and paint the other smaller ones at playgroup. And, just for Daddy, we’ll roast the seeds.
Like I mentioned earlier, I love everything about fall. It’s such a wonderful time of the year. The smell of the air starting to change… everything seems somewhat peaceful…….
God Bless You
Ashley
